Parenting is much harder than Janine expected, though she also never thought she could love someone so much! She's learned to put down the baby books, trust her gut and recognize that like snowflakes, no two kids are alike. She didn't shop for baby items ahead of time, and instead bought what she needed along the way, following the philosophies "less is more" and "quality, not quantity." Her daughter liked to be held, so she went for a baby carrier instead of swings or bouncy seats; less money spent and a very happy baby!
