  • Great for teaching colors and shapes as well as motor skills. My kiddo is a fan. May 26, 2022

  • Great quality. Love that it’s all wood. Our LO is still in a big chewing on things phase so she likes to chew on these and the paint DOES come off Mar 30, 2022

Great fine motor skill play and looks cute as well. Love the wooden toys from this brand. This is yet another fave In our playroom! Mar 09, 2022

  • Classic learning toy for shapes and colors. Love Melissa and Doug products! And I love that it is wooden and feels high quality for a low price. Feb 03, 2022

  • My daughter is showing interest now she’s 18 months old. When trying to get the shapes into the box l, the colours rub off onto the wood, which I hate because it makes it look like she wrote on Jan 18, 2022

  • Such a great toy to learn shapes and develop skills Nov 03, 2021

  • I was hoping for a little better quality on the cube. The blocks are okay. I like it a little better than plastic versions but the lid slides off easily and you have to turn it to use all the shapes Oct 27, 2021

  • This is a classic! Great for teaching colors and shapes with the little ones Sep 10, 2021

We got 2 of these as gifts, and both splinter and break really easily and the paint comes off. The plastic ones are better, since they love to put these in their mouth and just bite paint and wood off Jun 28, 2021

  • Wish the lid could lock in place--my toddler often just opens it up instead of finding the right slot. Some of the shapes are confusing, ex. the square & rectangle--have to use just the right side. May 29, 2021

  • My son has this but doesn’t really play with it. I love the simplicity and wood aspect of it. Still a great learning toy Apr 12, 2021

  • Wish the top could lock on some how Apr 09, 2021

  • Our daughter loved this sorting cube and would play with it for long periods of time. Well made and easy to clean. Feb 26, 2021

  • This is the best sort of toy! You can play in any way: sorting colors, stacking, putting the shapes in the corresponding holes, etc. I love that it is all wood and durable too. Feb 24, 2021

  • I really love wooden toys, and this is a great one for a young age. Bonus color sorting! Feb 04, 2021

My son loves this!! He tells me the color and is currently working on his shapes. This has helped him tremendously. Jan 03, 2021

  • My daughter got this for her 1st birthday, but didn't really show an interest in it until she was closer to 2. She probably caught on to putting the shapes in the right hole close to 2 1/2. Nov 29, 2020

  • This toy is well constructed but there is one of each shape which is very challenging, the whole thing must be turned around to find the right holes, even frustrating for an adult to do Oct 28, 2020

  • Great learning toy! Sep 25, 2020

  • Love that this one is wood and a little more difficult than some other shape sorters. Jul 30, 2020

  • My kid loves playing with this . A good way for kids to learn sorting , shapes , colors . Develops kids brain and keeps them occupied for a very long time May 14, 2020

  • A first my 18mth old was frustrated and would throw the shapes- didn’t understand the sides had slots too, now she’s mastering it on her own after a few weeks of play Apr 20, 2020

  • My brother gave me this for my 2 yr old and all though he is small he gets how to use it. I sit with him to play it and he gets the concept even if he has a little trouble. He is learning his shapes. Mar 31, 2020

  • One of our favorites - can be used so many different ways! Mar 11, 2020

  • Taught my son his shapes and colors. Helped with his hand eye coordination and manual dexterity Jan 27, 2020

My son loves this block sorter but it is a bit harder for children under 2. He knows all of the shapes now but used to get extremely frustrated when he couldn't figure it out. Great toy though! Jan 21, 2020

  • Awesome shape sorter! Great price for gift giving. The blocks can be used for sorting or stacking. Perfect toy for 1-2 year olds. Jan 02, 2020

The shapes are thick and easy for littles to hold while trying to find the matching hole. The colors are bold and the hatch is easy to open and empty. Jan 02, 2020

I love that this is wooden but it is busy and over stimulating with all the different shapes to try and fit in. Would be a great second step once your baby has mastered a more basic shape sorter Jan 01, 2020

  • My 19 month old son loves this and I anticipate it will be a good toy for him for a few more years. I like the durability of the wood as it’s held up better than the plastic shape sorter we have Jan 01, 2020

Cute toy, keeps my toddler busy for about half an hour. Helps them to learn the shapes and colors. Pieces are made of solid wood so it will hurt someone if your child likes to throw like mine does. Nov 17, 2019
