I finally bought it. Wanted to love it, because well it's really cute! But honestly your baby isn't missing out on anything - our twins ended up chewing on it after 10 mins and ignored it after. (Jun 24, 2017)
Some love the hooves, others the ears, but babies all seem to love chewing on Sophie. While it may seem like you’re adding an expensive, glorified dog toy to your registry, this teether has been a must-have for over 50 years. Sophie is made of natural rubber and food-grade paint, so it’s totally safe for little mouths.
It is indescribable what makes babies love this over other teethers, but I haven't met a baby who has not been a fan. Such a cute toy and holds up exceptionally well. Two kids later and ours looks new

I've never seen a baby that doesn't love Sophie! My children both loved this toy. The lo now plays with it. Good for grasping, coordination, and teething. Uses food grade coloring for safety.

This is a great toy to have when your little one is starting to chew on things. However, you might want to replace it after a month or so, if they are heavy droolers so no mold grows inside of the toy

Our LO loves this while when she has a tooth coming in. It's the perfect size to hold and the texture isn't as rough as fluid filled teethers. I wash it w/ soap weekly as I have heard it can get mold.

My kids loved this. Not sure what it is about them, but every kids that I know, loves them. They can be nosey, so there not the greatest for church, or any place that you need to be quiet in.

Love that it squeaks and love that it is rubber. My baby has it with her all the time, after about 3 months. Just worried about the saliva that gets into the whole in the back and it getting moldy.

My child likes the toy but no more than the $5 toys he has. Not a necessity but a nice toy. Also pro-tip, if you're worried about mold use a hot glue gun to close the hole..no moisture inside=no mold!

I had this for my baby but with all the recalls online I decided to cut it to see if mold was growing and it was clean! I'm sad that I did that because my son LOVED his Sophie the giraffe!

All 3 kids have loved this. I still let my baby play with it even though I know the inside may potentially be moldy... I put mine in the dishwasher. I do wish it didn't have the tiny hole in the back.
