Storytime Series Tryp Recliner
what parents are saying
This is an amazing recliner. The back is high enough for my 6’2” husband to comfortably sit. The reclining feature is located within the chair for easy reclining. It’s comfy and easy to close w/ feet (May 23, 2020)

A rocking chair comfortable enough for both mom and baby to sleep in, the Tryp Storytime Series recliner and glider in one are a weeSpring favorite (there are literally no regrets). It reclines to a horizontal position, is super plush and comfortable (with neck support) and has a seamless and noiseless glide when upright. The durability is fantastic too, as it lasts through daily use for years! It is available in a variety of colors and is useful for everything from feeding your newborn to reading with your little one as they grow older. A noted plus is it’s also American-made so customer service is a breeze!
The Catch: The price. It’s in the $600-$650 range.

I strongly recommend a rocking recliner for a comfy pregnancy. I couldn't sleep in my bed for the last few weeks and my recliner saved my life. I still use it for night feedings and soothing the baby. Nov 03, 2014

Love this chair. It is very comfortable, rocks and swivels easily and reclines all the way back. The back of the chair is high enough to rest my head back which is a must have in a nursery chair! Aug 14, 2014
I love my Tryp recliner! Husband loves that it reclines and lays back almost to a completely horizontal position. We had some squeaks but customer service was fantastic and sent us replacement part! Aug 11, 2014
Great American made chair. Very comfortable. Got it in a cotton fabric so no off-gassing. Mar 13, 2014
I absolutely LOVE this rocker and still use it every day for feeding; it's "Mom's Chair". It is, however, pretty spendy. In the ends it's been worth it- have yet to find a more comfy nursing chair. Oct 09, 2013

I have this in a green velour fabric. It is a fantastic chair! It's transitioned from nursery furniture to a living room staple. It's comfortable to sleep in, and it's plush and roomy. Worth the cost! Dec 06, 2016

I literally lived in this for the first 4 weeks. It reclines almost flat, but glides while upright. And now, with a toddler, it's big enough for us to sit side by side and read stories. May 17, 2015

We have a different fabric, but this chair is great. I slept in in for weeks leading up to my son's birth, and many nights after. Comfy and big enough for nursing, storytime with 2, or just relaxing Oct 06, 2014

Everyone-
Q: Is there a lockout on this to stop it from gliding if you just wanted to sit with the baby for a bit?
asked by Matthew B. - Oct 17, 2016
-
No, there is not. However, it doesn't need it. I've sat in this chair many times with both my children and did not rock. It'll move just a little when you sit, but stays stationary unless you initiate rocking. Can't say enough how much we love this chair. You won't regret it. My husband actually slept in it last night with our 14 month old who is suffering from an ear infection in both ears.
