In a great green room, tucked away in bed, is a little bunny. "Goodnight room, goodnight moon." And to all the familiar things in the softly lit room—to the picture of the three little bears sitting in chairs, to the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and the kittens, to everything one by one—he says goodnight.
In this classic of modern children's literature, beloved by generations of readers and listeners, the quiet poetry of the words and the gentle, lulling illustrations combine to make a perfect book for the end of the day.
what parents are saying
A classic bedtime story that every parent needs. Isn't too long so no excuse for not reading to your child. (Dec 28, 2017)
A classic book! My daughter loves this book just before bed and likes to point to the bunny and mouse and kitties on each page. I love the switch between the color and black and white pages too.

What a classic! A cute bedtime story about saying good night to different things in your room and ending with the moon. The colors are primary & the illustrations have a vintage feel. My son enjoys it

I don't understand why this book is so popular or why my son seems to enjoy it . . . but he does. It is a great bedtime book, and worked well in the early month when he had a hard time going to sleep.

This book is alright in my opinion. I don’t think it’s very entertaining. But the author makes it a point to say goodnight to every item and creature, so I suppose it could aid in bedtime.
