Why weeLove Ardo Medical Calypso Double Plus Breast Pump:

The Ardo Calypso Double Breast pump (a mom-must have in Switzerland) just launched in the U.S. and we’re huge fans for these 3 key reasons:

It’s the quietest pump on the market (working moms rejoice… you could discreetly pump while on a conference call and no one would have a clue).

It’s a closed system. The pumping mechanism is separated from where milk is collected, so there’s no possibility for contamination.

It’s highly adjustable. There are 64 variable settings to get the perfect speed/strength, a variety of included shield sizes, and battery or electrical power options.

  • Pretty quiet. Standard flange was too big but there was a smaller option that was available and screwed in for better fit. The speed and suction variability was very helpful for me and production. Nov 12, 2021

  • Pros: very very quiet, durable membranes, closed system, easy to transport, able to use with batteries Cons: suction is not the greatest Feb 12, 2020

  • The description made me think this was going to be a great pump. It was not. There were not that many suction settings, and it felt cheaply made. Plus it had a lot of parts. I'll use as my backup. Jul 12, 2019

I appreciate the low cost but I am frustrated with this pump. The device has two clear silicone pieces to create suction and fit into th breast shields. They fall out daily and are impossible to find Feb 27, 2019

  • LOVE this pump! Quiet, portable, closed system, can be battery operated or plugged in. Sp versatile! Feb 19, 2019

  • Much quieter than the Ameda pump I had. I wish it came with a travel case. Very effective and easy to use while traveling Jan 02, 2019

  • I love this pump! I mostly breastfeed, but when I do pump I always get a great amount of milk out. Jul 02, 2018

  • It is easy to use, and also very easy to clean. I love that there's no way for milk to get back into the pump. Mar 18, 2018

  • Been using this for the last 6 months and I love it, its quiet, gentle and overall easy to travel with, very light. Able to pump with people in a quiet office next door and not disturb them! Feb 03, 2018

  • This was my first pump. Wasn't the best, but I also wasn't that educated in breast feeding/pumping at the time. Easy to use and clean though! Jan 13, 2018

  • Too difficult to figure out needed setting. No preset functions. Wife had lots of trouble with this. Dec 20, 2017

  • Have had it for about 2 months and it just broke down tonight. Literally just went back to work one week ago. It is super frustrating that I will be out of a pump until I get this fixed or resolved. Dec 05, 2017

  • I loved how fast I was able to pump. It took half the time as with Medela. Only draw back was I had to mess with the pump more to get my milk out. It has lots of different options Oct 27, 2017

  • So quiet and does a great job of expressing milk Jul 23, 2017

This pump is sooooo quiet! I'm actually surprised by how quiet it is for it being just like my Medela and Hygeia pumps. It's small and compact and didn't come with a bunch of extra bulky stuff. A+ Nov 11, 2016

While the pump is quiet and lightweight, it had too many pieces to assemble and keep track of. Also the suction was not nearly strong enough and I was never able to achieve a comfortable speed. Nov 06, 2016

  • (what's this?)

I love that this is a closed system pump, and so quiet! Variable controls, just wish it saved where you had it set from the previous session. Small, so easy to travel with. Nov 01, 2016

  • (what's this?)

This is a good pump and I will continue to use it as my backup pump (so as not to have to transport my main Medela pump back and forth). It's better than the Ameda Simply yours (other closed system). Nov 01, 2016

  • (what's this?)

At first the suction was very strong for my sensitive breasts.but after being able to adjust the strength and speed, I found a perfect fit for my body! Easy setup snd very light! Thanks Weespring! Oct 31, 2016

I wanted to love this pump! Tiny, sleek, fewer parts than others, super quiet, BUT not enough suction and all manual cycle/suction adjustments. BAH! A swing and a miss. I'll stick with Spectra. Oct 30, 2016

  • (what's this?)

I've used a few double-electric pumps and this is the quietest and maybe most efficient. I can pump ounces in a few minutes! It might not be for a "beginner pumper" with all of the settings and parts. Oct 27, 2016

  • (what's this?)

This pump was gentle on the breast and felt like a massager. I just didn't like the suction/strength of this pump. Good for mom who need maintenance of milk supply not for moms with low milk supply. Oct 25, 2016

Quiet, small, easy to transport. I have used MedelaFreestyle and SpectraS1. Calypso allows me to pump the same amount. Cycle speeds are much slower, which is more gentle. Wish it had auto-shutoff. Oct 24, 2016

  • (what's this?)

It's quiet, efficient and durable and I can completely customize the suction and pumping to where I need it every time. It is an awesome closed tube system. Love! Oct 23, 2016

Pros: For starters, it is very quiet, which is very nice.I also really like the stands that hold the bottle. Cons: The bottle demarcations hard to see. Oct 20, 2016

  • (what's this?)

The speed and the vacuum strength are so low that the pumping is very inefficient. Oct 20, 2016

  • (what's this?)

Wanted to love it, as I have tried other pumps in the 2 years I've been pumping, but it just didn't work for me. Not enough suction, parts could be easier to clean, tubing gets sticky. Light & quiet. Oct 18, 2016

This pump is OK. Quiet but also cumbersome to carry around and the assembly seems to take longer. Suction strength and speed are adjustable but difficult to get the hang of what works for your body. Oct 18, 2016

  • (what's this?)

Love how quiet this is, just as productive as my Hygeia pump, but the closed system is so much better and less frustrating than an open system. Highly recommend! Oct 16, 2016

  • (what's this?)

A quiet, powerful, effective machine. While parts are not easy to replace and I don't prefer the limited settings, I found the machine to be super effective. Definitely recommend compared to others! Oct 15, 2016

This product surpassed my expectations and did everything I needed it to. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lack of in house storage for the bottles for the bottles to sit on. ParentPanel Oct 08, 2016

  • I love this pump! I had a Tommee Tippee pump before this and it doesn't compare and it's less expensive than my other pump was. It's super quite; my other was not. It has so many settings! Oct 05, 2016

  • I love my Ardo pump. I had other brands while breastfeeding some of my littles, & they always ended up breaking from wear and tear. This time, my Ardo has been great! Love the size & options it offers Oct 05, 2016

VERY quiet! And great settings, but I wish it was handsfree - I've been spoiled with my Freemie pump and I'll stick with that. Thanks weeSpring Parent Panel for letting me try this! Sep 26, 2016

    Why weeLove Milkflow Lactation Cookies:

In case you need a valid excuse to eat cookies, here’s a really good one: boosting milk supply. Nursing moms need to fuel their bodies to keep up with the demands of milk production and new parenthood. (If you’ve been wearing the same pants for three days—we get it, girl!) While lactation teas, capsules and powders aren’t for everybody, cookies most certainly are.

Milkflow™ from UpSpring created the first ever lactation cookies made with the dream team of ingredients: Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. These two essentials work together to help naturally promote breast milk supply in those early days, during your baby’s growth spurts (when you’re glued to the glider for feedings!), and pumping sessions.

Available in Oatmeal Raisin and Double Chocolate Chip, cookies are non-GMO and made in the USA with all natural ingredients. These tasty treats come in packs of two—perfect for tossing in your diaper bag for a healthy snack on the go. Each box comes with 10 packs (20 cookies total), so you’ll be able to keep your milk production going strong while keeping “Hangry Mom Running Errands” at bay. It’s a win-win.
