A British welder and new dad knew there had to be a better, healthier way to reheat small amounts of his homemade baby food without zapping away nutrients in the microwave. Inspired by his daughter’s love for carrots and distaste for mangos, he created Lillypots. This stainless steel pan sits on top of your small saucepan and uses steam to defrost a variety of purees at once.

Love the idea. Don’t have time to use this the second time around, especially with a hungry toddler Jan 28, 2020

The Lilly pot is a fantastic idea, I just wish they made it deeper. It gives me a hard time when I melt my ice cubed food. Oct 06, 2016

  • Wish the grooves were deeper/bigger. They are a bit too shallow. Good concept though. Aug 13, 2014

  • Q: how long does it typically take to heat the cubes?

asked by Secretly Expecting - Oct 27, 2014

  • You first need to heat the water in the pot underneath, so that can take 5+ minutes. It's just a couple minutes once it's steamy... longer than microwaving of course, but a lot shorter than any other thawing method.

  • Agreed, it doesn't take too long to heat up. It's just that the grooves are quite shallow, so once your baby starts eating larger quantities, it's not really worth it.
