This seems excessive, but it isn't. It is nice to look through monitor and see if it is too hot/too cold in there. You have to keep track of so much info-it is nice to just look at a color and know. (Dec 28, 2017)

Ours is never a "happy" temperature. I know it wants the room at 65 degrees, but in Texas during the summer that's just not going to happen. Plus it would be WAY too cold in there if it was 65 degrees. It's more of a nightlight/ make sure the a/c works. Apr 29, 2013

This little thermometer is pretty handy if your baby's nursery doesn't have its own thermostat. Our house has 5 separate zones. I always through the nursery was on the zone with the other guest rooms...after plugging this thermometer in, I realized the nursery was in the same heating/cooling zone as our master bedroom. All in all, it's a handy gadget. Just ignore the smiley face feature...we keep our house at 68 in the winter and 70 in the summer. You will see a frowny face on the thermometer all the time at those temperatures, which is ridiculous! In order to see a smily face the temperature has to be at 65 degrees...which is too cold for my family comfort. Apr 02, 2013
