  • Okay I love this thing but its a USB charger+adaptor and its one more thing to plug in. It really helped me my babies first year. Apr 22, 2019

Very helpful during summer in Australia. We are unable to use it without being plugged in no matter how long we charge it. Mar 27, 2019

  • I don’t think Buy Buy Baby carries this anymore but we bought it in 2016 and still use it (for baby no. 2). Very accurate! Feb 28, 2019

  • We didn’t have a monitor with a thermometer and live in a temperature fluctuating apartment, so this was incredible peace of mind. Feb 27, 2019

  • This was wonderful in the early days of bringing my newborn home in the July heat - piece of mind! Jan 09, 2019

  • I thought this was a cool idea but I don't think this ever had a real read of the room. It always showed the room as cold, even when warm and it wasn't anywhere near a vent. Oct 27, 2017

  • So helpful to know the actual temperature in the room. Also serves as a nightlight, which has proved to be helpful in the middle of the night. Oct 22, 2017

  • Wish we could change the preferred temperature but it works as a thermometer and night light Oct 18, 2017

  • Drove me a little nuts seeing the temperature. The happy level was so cold. Although it is preferred that babies sleep in cooler temps, I always thought it wasn't warm enough. Jun 21, 2017

You can just peek in baby's room and look at the color and know the temperature. May 06, 2017

Im unsure about this product. For some reason it just seemed to be off to me at all times. Aug 12, 2016

  • Very handy. Apr 26, 2016

We have two - one for the nursery and one for the den where our baby spends a bunch of time. So easy to see the color if you are not able to see the number - much more accurate than the monitor! Jan 19, 2016

Gives a pretty accurate temperature read and the glow/nightlight feature is nice, you don't need a separate night light. Oct 22, 2015

  • Awesome, love to be able to see at a glance how cold or warm my LO's room is Jul 17, 2015

Love knowing the temp of my sons room so I know he's appropriately dressed. As a bonus it's his night light. Jul 14, 2015

It's great to have an accurate reading of the temperature (we don't have a thermostat in our apartment) but I wish I could dim the light a little. Also the temperature to make it "happy" would be COLD Jan 04, 2015

Love this! Easy way to see if the room is too hot or cold. Sep 30, 2014

  • Works great, always know what temperature it is in their room, plus it's a nice low nightlight too! Sep 30, 2014

This saves a lot of arguments between my husband and I if it's "too cold" or "too hot" in the baby's room. Aug 01, 2014

  • Love this! So helpful in knowing the temperature, although it wasn't always in sync with our thermostat. Jul 23, 2014

  • love knowing the temperature, would like not to have so many things on the dresser. Apr 15, 2014

  • We have this but probably unnecessary. Mar 17, 2014

  • It's never happy but the temp would be way too cold to get it in the "ok" range. Use as a nightlight and thermometer but have just worked out what temp my bub prefers Nov 04, 2013

  • I have been using this egg for years and still love it! I love knowing what the temp is and how the egg changes color. Works great. Aug 27, 2013

  • our video monitor has a temp on it plus the temp has to be very cold before it was the right color. Jun 20, 2013

  • Ours is never a "happy" temperature. I know it wants the room at 65 degrees, but in Texas during the summer that's just not going to happen. Plus it would be WAY too cold in there if it was 65 degrees. It's more of a nightlight/ make sure the a/c works. Apr 29, 2013

  • This little thermometer is pretty handy if your baby's nursery doesn't have its own thermostat. Our house has 5 separate zones. I always through the nursery was on the zone with the other guest rooms...after plugging this thermometer in, I realized the nursery was in the same heating/cooling zone as our master bedroom. All in all, it's a handy gadget. Just ignore the smiley face feature...we keep our house at 68 in the winter and 70 in the summer. You will see a frowny face on the thermometer all the time at those temperatures, which is ridiculous! In order to see a smily face the temperature has to be at 65 degrees...which is too cold for my family comfort. Apr 02, 2013

  • So useful, esp for a NYC apt! Mar 17, 2013

In our older house I love being able to know exactly what the temperature is in the kid's rooms. Feb 07, 2013

  • This gives me peace of mind. Especially in a chilly weekend cottage. Jan 28, 2013

  • pretty useful but not necessary Jan 11, 2013
