While this pale is initially pricier than the genie, it uses any old plastic bag, so you save money in the long run on refills. We put our used grocery bags in it. The wheel really seals off the smell. It is easy to toss the diaper in and flip the wheel to send it away while holding a squirmy cranky baby. Con: it really smells when you go to empty it.
