In my opinion , the string is way too short for babies to hit the keys appropriately. We actually added part of a shoe string to allow him to better use it and he was way less frustrated. Aug 02, 2020

I probably should have read the age range more closely before buying this. As soon as we got it, my 7 month old son shoved the mallet down his throat. I put it away for another year or so. May 30, 2013
