This is super portable and amazing for banister-to-banister connection without having to drill any holes. Also comes in a wall-to-banister version and their designs are STYLISH! (Jan 28, 2018)

Why weeLove The Stair Barrier:
Safety gates are a necessity when you have a baby on the move, but they don’t exactly do wonders for your home decor. (Oh, who are we kidding, home decor went out the window when the toy takeover started.)
The Stair Barrier is a stylish alternative to the traditional “baby jail” gates. Designed for use at the bottom of the stairs, it’s easy to install, easy to use, and easy on the eyes. Made with upholstery grade fabrics in a variety of patterns and colors, you’ll actually be excited to set up your baby gate. While it’s intended for stairways with two banisters (no drilling!), it can also connect between a banister and a wall. Be sure to check out their videos for simple step-by-step instructions. Aside from great style, it safely keeps kids (and pets!) off the steps. Standard dual-side release buckles and vertical plastic struts built into the structure prevent tots from lifting themselves up or pulling the gate down.
Similar to a retractable gate, it can be rolled to one side when not in use, but since The Stair Barrier looks so good, you probably won’t be in such a hurry to tuck it away…

This is easy to place on the stairs and the colors complemented our decor well. Sep 18, 2022
My stairs are wrought iron on both sides so traditional gates don’t work, so this was the only thing that would work. It’s great, but it killed me to pay so much for fabric and straps! Nov 13, 2021

We like to use this for the bottom of our staircase. It is a sleeker look rather than using big heavy plastic gates and keeps the kids safe and off of the steps. Apr 16, 2021

Love the look of this versus using the big heavy plastic gates that take up a lot of room. Apr 13, 2021

The concept here is nice. Execution is a bit cumbersome to use. Aesthetically it's a lot nicer than a big bulky gate. The buckles are just a pain to deal with if the stairs are used regularly. Jan 04, 2019

I love the look of this baby gate. I also like that it rolls out of the way when it's not in use. I would get another one if they weren't so expensive! Dec 03, 2018

This baby gate has been a life saver for us. I didn't have it with my first child and blocked off my stairs with two ottomans for almost two years. Was so happy to find this product. Works great! Apr 18, 2018
