After Isabella could roll over, we transitioned from the bassinet with the pod to a the crib mattress. The mattress is triple funciton: pod for up to 3 months, after they can roll over, you can flip the mattress to a the smooth side for +3 months until the transition to a tooddler bed. It is 6 inhces which is rare to find and extra firm memory foam. I highly recommend. (Jan 23, 2014)
