  • Used regular bags and did keep down the smell. Be careful not to overfill it: it is much harder to empty. De-stink the can with baking soda and then sun. Don't lift lid if too cold: will snap. May 18, 2020

  • Well worth the money. Metal material contains the smell and I love you don't have to buy specialty bags for it to work - any bag can work. If you use ubbi bags, they are environmentally friendly. Jul 08, 2018

  • This pail is great, you could use normal garbage bags, I have it in the living room and the only time you could slightly smell anything is when changing the bag, I wish it had a foot pedal. Mar 14, 2018

  • It may be on the expensive side but this diaper pail REALLY holds in the smell and you can use regular transgenic bags instead of buying those expensive refills. Comes in all sorts of colors too! Feb 18, 2017
