Parents don't vibrate like bouncy seats or swing like swings. They bounce and sway, and that's what the mamaRoo does: it moves like you do. Our team used motion sensors to measure the movements of reals moms and dads as they soothed their babies, and replicated those motions in the mamaRoo. It's the only infant seat with five different motions, all modeled after the natural movements parents make to comfort their babies. It isn't just another infant seat. It's our baby, and we made it for yours.
The mamaRoo plush is the same great mamaRoo with a softer, plush seat fabric that's even more comfortable for your baby. Just like the nylon, the plush seat is machine washable and easy to zip in and out of your mamaRoo, and the toy balls have reversible one-,two-, and three-eyed monster patterns.
?Five unique motions based on real parental movements
?Built-in nature sounds and an MP3 hookup
?Three reversible toy balls (original mamaRoo comes with art patterns; plush mamaRoo has monsters)
?Fabric (both plush and nylon) is easy to remove and machine washable
?Seat reclines to any position
?Detects obstructions, won't run if recline is unlocked
?Suitable from birth to 25 pounds
?Discontinue use once child can sit up unassisted
?Product weighs 14 pounds. LWH: 22.3" x 8.6" x 26.5"
?To be green, it doesn't run on batteries, just wall power

what parents are saying
My first grandchild loved the mamaroo, the second one not so much. It was still well worth the price. It helped calm my granddaughter when she was colicky. (Jul 31, 2017)
A piece of gear that your baby will either love or hate, the Mamaroo is one item you might want to try before you buy. With its five different motion settings, this sleekly designed swing/bouncer has been some parents “saving grace.” and the only thing that will put their baby to sleep.
THE CATCH: Some parents note that the motion options aren’t “enough” to soothe. So if your baby doesn’t take to it, you might just have purchased an “overpriced” chair.
My baby loves this and we use it daily BUT I think you can find comparable items (swings) that basically do the same thing for a MUCH cheaper price tag. It IS more appealing to look at though!

We got it as a hand-me-down, so don't necessarily regret it since we didn't buy it ourselves. Glad we didn't bc my son did not like it - cried every time we put him in it. I know some babies love it.

I love the Mamaroo and my baby does too (Updated from her meh stance) I think a mirror or moving mobile would help a TON with babies but the quality and ease of use on this is incredible and so comfy

This seat works wonders! My little guy would NOT sleep unless he was held close or very closely cradled - this was the first way he began letting any of us put him down. Love the motion settings!

We wouldn't have survived without this! My baby sleeps in it a night, it is the only place she will sleep. This is perfect for babies with reflux issues. I do with it would swing a bit faster/harder

I wish my baby loved this seat. I was so excited that it could operate via bluetooth, but baby just wasn't having it. Not worth the hefty price tag unless you are sure your baby will want to go in it.

I am so disappointed. My son would not lay back or sleep without crying. I read where this was an awesome product and I was hoping it would give me a break from holding him, but he hates this too. :(

All of the motion options are smooth and fluid-it put our son right to sleep. It also has a small physical footprint if space is limited, and it looks modern/high tech (as far as swings go!)

This is nothing special. It has a lot of bells and whistles, but I don't think it's worth the price. It does not swing back and forth, only side to side and just doesn't move fast enough to calm baby.

I wanted to "love" the 4moms Mamaroo but our daughter didn't care for it and ergonomically, it wasn't the best set up. Luckily, we purchased ours at consignment and didn't spend a small fortune.

My son wasn’t a fan until closer to 3 months. He likes it, but I definitely don’t see it lasting too much longer since at 5 months he’s on the bigger end and seems uncomfortable. It can also be loud.

My son has taken many naps in this since the newborn days. Even after 6 months mark, we used it as a bottle feeding station while we sat on the couch facing him, it was ergonomic for everybody.

Expensive thing that sits in the corner. Never got our 1st kiddo to like it & the 2nd kiddo isn't having it thus far. I think it's been on for 60 min total. Nice option for phone hookup for sound.

My baby loves this swing. You can control the speeds and different swinging motion. Very easy to wash. Purchased used. The toy attachment is underwhelming. I bought a clip on activity bar from Amazon.

With our 1st this was an absolute lifesaver and the ONLY way she would sleep. Our second hated it. Great customer service, we used it so much our motor died and they sent us a new one free of charge!
