Parents don't vibrate like bouncy seats or swing like swings. They bounce and sway, and that's what the mamaRoo does: it moves like you do. Our team used motion sensors to measure the movements of reals moms and dads as they soothed their babies, and replicated those motions in the mamaRoo. It's the only infant seat with five different motions, all modeled after the natural movements parents make to comfort their babies. It isn't just another infant seat. It's our baby, and we made it for yours.
The mamaRoo plush is the same great mamaRoo with a softer, plush seat fabric that's even more comfortable for your baby. Just like the nylon, the plush seat is machine washable and easy to zip in and out of your mamaRoo, and the toy balls have reversible one-,two-, and three-eyed monster patterns.

what parents are saying
After reading reviews both positive and negative, I decided to buy one gently used and I'm definitely glad. My son liked this swing ok, but it moves slow and only side to side. I will keep it for my next baby - I definitely think this is best for newborn-2 months. Not worth the price tag brand new! (Feb 16, 2014)
A piece of gear that your baby will either love or hate, the Mamaroo is one item you might want to try before you buy. With its five different motion settings, this sleekly designed swing/bouncer has been some parents “saving grace.” and the only thing that will put their baby to sleep.
THE CATCH: Some parents note that the motion options aren’t “enough” to soothe. So if your baby doesn’t take to it, you might just have purchased an “overpriced” chair.
My baby and friends babies I’ve watched have love this. I like the ability to raise the head, especially if the baby has recently eaten. I also like the different options for swaying the baby.

My daughter did not like this. We Used it on occasion but it was certainly not the magic sleep solution. It doesn't mimic human rocking. Only moves side to side. Definitely not worth the price.

I just got this and wow, I love it. Baby loves it, dad loves it. It has some really cool features! I can already tell the mobile will be an issue, and I’ve read it gets wonky because baby pulls on it

A little on the pricier side, but I find it worth the expense to have a sleek piece of baby furniture my child enjoys. I like the 5 motions to choose from as well as the sounds and speeds.

For the price I was hoping this would be my babies go to item... she likes it but does not LOVE it and will frequently get frustrated within the first 5-10 minutes even when the motion is changed.

We went back and forth with wanting this, but it is Scarlet’s all time favorite thing to do. We have it in the kitchen so she can hang out while we cook, we clean, and waiting for a 4am bottle!

Didn’t love or hate this. It has a large footprint, and didn’t soothe my daughter like the swing did. The mechanisms seemed jerky, too. But the variety of movements and sounds was very cool!

I love ours. But it was a gift. This item is so pricy that I’m not too sure we would’ve bought it ourselves. But it’s amazing and it has a lot of features. So if you can afford it you should get one

At first my LO was not a huge fan, but as soon as she started growing it was like something clicked and she loves it. Although she does not like the toys in the mobile portion that may change with tim

Received this as a gift & LOVE it. It helped keep our son calm when we needed to get things done around the house. We even let a friend borrow it when our son outgrew it, & we'll use it in the future.

My baby loves this and we use it daily BUT I think you can find comparable items (swings) that basically do the same thing for a MUCH cheaper price tag. It IS more appealing to look at though!

We got it as a hand-me-down, so don't necessarily regret it since we didn't buy it ourselves. Glad we didn't bc my son did not like it - cried every time we put him in it. I know some babies love it.

I love the Mamaroo and my baby does too (Updated from her meh stance) I think a mirror or moving mobile would help a TON with babies but the quality and ease of use on this is incredible and so comfy
