Parents don't vibrate like bouncy seats or swing like swings. They bounce and sway, and that's what the mamaRoo does: it moves like you do. Our team used motion sensors to measure the movements of reals moms and dads as they soothed their babies, and replicated those motions in the mamaRoo. It's the only infant seat with five different motions, all modeled after the natural movements parents make to comfort their babies. It isn't just another infant seat. It's our baby, and we made it for yours.
The mamaRoo plush is the same great mamaRoo with a softer, plush seat fabric that's even more comfortable for your baby. Just like the nylon, the plush seat is machine washable and easy to zip in and out of your mamaRoo, and the toy balls have reversible one-,two-, and three-eyed monster patterns.
?Five unique motions based on real parental movements
?Built-in nature sounds and an MP3 hookup
?Three reversible toy balls (original mamaRoo comes with art patterns; plush mamaRoo has monsters)
?Fabric (both plush and nylon) is easy to remove and machine washable
?Seat reclines to any position
?Detects obstructions, won't run if recline is unlocked
?Suitable from birth to 25 pounds
?Discontinue use once child can sit up unassisted
?Product weighs 14 pounds. LWH: 22.3" x 8.6" x 26.5"
?To be green, it doesn't run on batteries, just wall power
?6 month warranty
what parents are saying
This was only useful for a really short period of time, maybe 3 months. But my baby was 8.5 LBS and grew really quickly. (Oct 11, 2016)
A piece of gear that your baby will either love or hate, the Mamaroo is one item you might want to try before you buy. With its five different motion settings, this sleekly designed swing/bouncer has been some parents “saving grace.” and the only thing that will put their baby to sleep.
THE CATCH: Some parents note that the motion options aren’t “enough” to soothe. So if your baby doesn’t take to it, you might just have purchased an “overpriced” chair.
This product is a lifesaver. Love the bluetooth feature and all the settings. The sounds help create white noise for my little one and he falls right asleep most times. The mobile doesn't move though

I got mine second-hand. My little ones liked it and slept in it a lot. I feel the crotch strap is too wide for most babies. I wish it could run on batteries to take outdoors. Wish I could afford a 2nd

This is a great product. Our preemie rolled from day one so he actually slept in his for the first 3 months! High price tag, but worth the investment. Natural movements are great for soothing!

Baby looks super uncomfortable with her chin to chest, and isn't soothed 60% of the time. But I'm still trying to train her to like it and it's a good seat w/ different motions and sounds. Overpriced!

LOVE my Mamaroo! So does my baby! I worked at a daycare that had one and every baby there loved it. The new Bluetooth feature is way nice so you can control it from your phone. It's a 10 on my list!

Not sure if I love or hate this. Its great for the first month or two...but then becomes slow and boring. Its also a little awkward, low to the ground, kind of bulky. If it went faster, I would love!

Liked that this goes in all directions-up, down, and side to side however, I felt that it was kind of noisy. It's very 'mechanical' sounding while on. For the price you'd think it would be quieter

This is well built and fun to use, but sadly I probably wouldn't purchase it again. My daughter used it a few times, but she mostly preferred to be held. I wanted to love it but it didn't work for her

This seat works wonders! My little guy would NOT sleep unless he was held close or very closely cradled - this was the first way he began letting any of us put him down. Love the motion settings!

I was nervous baby wouldn't like this but she loves it. Very soothing & I love that it doesn't take up too much space. The speakers & sound quality are poor but I typically place music on my phone.

Returned this because my son hated it. Movements are stilted and weird, didn't really mimic human rocking. Also too expensive for a seat that didn't take a lot of weight compared to others.

I really wanted to love this but my son didn't care much for it when he was small. We've lent it out to two friends whose babies didn't like it much either. Motions and sounds are nice, though.
