Standard plates include an insert that helps parents portion out food into sections (a must-have for those who don't like their food to touch). Simply remove the insert when not needed.
FYI: grownups love using these dishes, too! Another smart design feature: many of their items come with a suction base that can be attached to the plate or bowl to keep it secured to the table during the "flinging food" phase. So your kiddo's favorite foods have a much better chance of going from plate to mouth, than plate to wall!
