We tried this out in case we ever forgot our actual baby monitor while traveling. It works pretty well, but is pretty sensitive-- it sends a text when the baby is awake / fussing / crying. We ended up getting about 10 texts in the first 10 minutes after putting the little guy down. as he was shifting around, making some noise before conking out. (Jun 03, 2013)

Works wonderfully! You can set sensitivity level and test it prior to turning the monitor on. We use it when we go next door and the monitor doesn't reach. Jul 24, 2014
