what parents are saying
I really am a fan of Alva cloth diapers. There is no need to spend alot of money on a cute pricey diaper your kid is going to poop in. If they leak you have a insert issue or they need stripped. (Jan 28, 2016)

These diapers are only good if you have a petite baby, otherwise it is hard to get a good fit. Also, the inserts that come with them are not super absorbent. Mar 11, 2024

A great affordable start to cloth diapering! My Alva's have held up well. I did replace the microfiber inserts with hemp but other than that these work fabulous! Jun 10, 2023

These are a really good value and are good quality. They fit my daughter well. When my daughter had a reaction to the Honest diapers I put one of these on her and they helped clear up the diaper rash. Apr 19, 2023

I wanted to love cloth diapering, but…poop is not fun to clean. These fit my son great and for a wide age span. I used them only when I was home. Will use again for my daughter as they still look new! Sep 28, 2022

Love the covers (prefer other inserts over microfiber). There’s a slight learning curve but overall easy to use and clean and great value for the price. Used for over 6 months and holding up strong Apr 28, 2022

Cheap cloth pocket option. I use many different inserts and I like the space these provide. Leg fit is not as good now that she’s walking but prior had few leaks. Lots of patterns available. Oct 29, 2021

They are soft and hold a lot. They have many cute designs. However I’ve noticed that why my baby doesn’t have her legs straight that buttons end up digging into her inner thigh leaving marks. Sep 03, 2021

Alvas are the perfect cloth diaper if you need something economical that just works. I would recommend getting better inserts (5 layer bamboo/ terrycloth). Half my stash is Alva as a full-time CD'er. Feb 17, 2022

These are great! The price is fantastic, but I would just buy the pocket diapers and invest in hemp or bamboo inserts to avoid compression leaks. Aug 30, 2020

For an inexpensive, non-US-made diaper, they do the job. You don't have to worry about damaging them in the wash, or spending $$$ only to have them stained or the elastic damaged. Apr 16, 2019

Love these! Super affordable and quick to dry. The tabs aren’t as stretchy as some of the brands I love. Each diaper comes individually packaged and includes two microfiber inserts. A must have! Sep 03, 2018

Very cheap for a reason. They all leak through the snaps and the suede cloth liner caused horrible rashes. Difficult to get stains out. I really wanted to love these. Dec 08, 2017

We have lots of these. Can't beat the price, but they don't last through one child. All the elastic is stretched out and now they leak. Can't beat the price though, and they've always fit! Oct 11, 2017

I bought a batch of Alva cloth diapers -- some are great, some leak through the buttons. I've read that some people had the same issue & Alva replaced them so I'll see if they'll do the same for me. Jan 23, 2016

We love Alva cloth. Most of our stash is Alva, and we have no complaints. We had some leaking at first, but it was more of a absorbency issue (what we were putting inside the pocket) vs. a manufacturing issue. Jan 22, 2016
