Our friends at The Car Seat Lady swear by this seat, and with good reason: not only is it super safe - performing better than any other seat in Consumer Reports’ recent crash test - it’s also easy to install securely and is lightweight and compact. Because it installs securely sans base, it's perfect for an urban parent who relies on taxis to get around. Using the MaxiCosi adapters, it's compatible with almost any stroller. Be warned, though: the sun shade is pretty tiny, but you can remedy that by adding the SnoozeShade.

  • This seat is so heavy and cumbersome to get in and out of the car! We got it because it has a small footprint in our Volvo wagon. But it was donated after the last babe outgrew it! Apr 12, 2019

  • I can’t stand that the buttons to lower the bar are on both sides, needing both hands to operate, a luxury parents rarely have. It’s also difficult to loosen and tighten the straps. Fits a small car. Feb 06, 2019

  • I like this car seat, but there are a few cons. You have to use two hands to raise and lower the carrying handle, the adapters for the stroller are a bit wobbly and hard to disconnect. Oct 31, 2017

  • This is the seat we use for our own babies. It installs easily and safely in virtually any vehicle, both with and without the base -- making it perfect for both city and suburbs. It’s compactness means it’s great for 3-across and front seat leg room (it gives 4 more inches of legroom than other infant seats) - with the downside being baby outgrows it a few months sooner than some seats. The Aton 2 has a load leg on the base that lowers risk of head injury. Apr 09, 2014
