At 6 months I had to use the fourth side as he could crawl out across the bed. At 7 months he could climb over the rails. This model is more expensive, but it will last longer than the plastic models that only go up to 5 months. I really think it’s worth having the co-sleeper as it makes waking up to feed at night a million times easier. (Aug 30, 2013)
