• Not as good of quality as the versions from years ago, as orgs can easily push through, but still sturdy and helps develop good fine motor and visual perceptual skills Aug 02, 2020

  • LORDY! This toy is a lifesaver! We are foster parents and this toy helps to get those frustration feelings out. We so appreciate the quality of Melissa and Doug toys, and this one does not disappoint! May 13, 2020

  • Loved this for my little kits. Great for practice with their aim and hand eye coordination. Apr 25, 2020

  • Great for hand/eye coordination. Didn't keep my kids engaged for very long, but they still enjoyed using it. Feb 11, 2020

  • Heavy and harmful if the whole item falls on the toddler's foot. The pegs dont go all the way through so my toddler gets frustrated and pushes it out with hands. Jan 08, 2020

Mallet is very heavy and baby likes to swing, not a good combination! Oct 30, 2019

  • The pegs were too hard for my toddler to hit down so she quit playing with it and started doing other things with the hammer, then lost the hammer. The concept is cool but it just collects dust. Oct 10, 2019

  • Toddler is almost 3 and has never been very interested in this toy. The most use it got was when he was learning colors. Favorite part is the hammer, which I had to take away to protect my home & baby Aug 20, 2019

  • My son is 9 months old and loves holding a hammer he tries really hard to hit the pegs but also loves pulling them out. Jul 02, 2019

  • Such a simple toy, yet they loved it. It really helped them practice hand/eye coordination. The little ones required an adult to insert the pegs for them, but as they grew, could do it themselves. May 21, 2019

  • Disappointed in the quality, normally love the Melissa and Doug products but this one comes with plastic parts that seem cheap. May 11, 2019

  • This was not constructed very well and we had to use our own glue to put it back together after only a couple of uses. May 02, 2019

  • We have this but my 15 month old only gets to play with it occasionally; she still hasn't grasped the concept of it but she loves all the colors and pushing the pegs. Apr 29, 2019

  • Nostalgic toy. The pegs don't stay in line to get punched through and one of the sides came unglued and fell apart after not too long. Mar 13, 2019

Great way to help little ones with eye hand coordination while having fun! The downside is after some use the hammer starts to chip and leave wood pieces everywhere. Jan 20, 2019

  • Just a simple, fun toy! Jan 02, 2019

Haven't tried it with my toddler, but when my older kid played with it we used it every single day! And it was a lot of fun! Will definitely buy it for my 2nd kid! Aug 22, 2018

  • My kids do love this, but the hammer is dangerous with twins- have had some hits to the head. We took it away but they still like to push the pegs up and down. Aug 15, 2018

  • Another classic toy that I grew up playing, and now my kids get to play with! Even without the hammer, my little one likes pushing the pegs from one side to the other. Jun 23, 2018

Kids just take it all apart and lose all the pieces. Needs to be a way for them to stay in so they don't get lost. Jul 29, 2016

  • Baby hasn't shown much interest. I like it more than her, but it is cute. Mar 08, 2016

  • One of the few toys that seems to keep my LOs interest consistently. We find the pegs everywhere. He often times can be found toddling with at least one in his habds Dec 28, 2015

  • Great toy but the paint started chipping off in big chunks! We've gotten rid of those pieces and are now down to 5 pegs! Oct 15, 2015
