    This is our third Britax. My husband prefers this one to our Boulevard since there’s less bulk, it doesn’t have the secondary side impact protection. Easy to install, adjust, and wash the cover. Oct 22, 2017

  • Did a lot of research. Found this to be the highest crash rated carseat. Easily adjustable. Snug and cushiony for little one. Wish the harness straps were longer. Jul 31, 2017

  • I received this car seat as a gift and it is seriously way too huge to put a newborn in it, even with an infant snuggle! We plan to use it as a second car seat once our baby is 6+mo old. Its heavy too Jun 10, 2017

  • One of our favorite car seats. Easy to install. Cleans up awesome. Has foam that can be broke if not careful with instal or cleaning though. Adjustments easy. Fits in most vehicles. It is heavy though May 22, 2017

  • Easy to get in and out when we need to travel or switch cars. Only struggled when I needed to use a lap belt. Had to watch the you tube video a few times to get it in right. May 20, 2017

  • This was not one of my favorite car seats. It's pretty wide and takes up a lot of space and the straps often get tangled or stuck. It does feel pretty sturdy but I still wouldn't recommend. May 16, 2017

  • I've used this carseat for 2 kids and it has held up nicely. My kids seemed comfortable and I felt they were very safe. It is a bit heavy though for travel or taking it out of the car often. May 02, 2017

  • I will agree with most complaints that this car seat is quickly outgrown because the straps only go so far up. This isn't a problem for my small kids. The small base is great. No cup holder though May 08, 2016

    Owned 3 Marathons, and they fit all the children well.Easy to adjust.They are bulky. Very well padded, and the covers withstood normal kid abuse. Couldn't do 3 across, and 1 had buckle issues. Oct 17, 2014

    It is a bit bulky but it's easy to move from car to car. I don't worry about it not being safe for my daughter (now if only I could afford the click tight one!) Sep 24, 2014

  • We just purchased this seat so we aren't sure yet how it will be. Baby clips in very easily and once you've figured it out, adjusting the seat to fit is not too hard. Study the manual, though!! Mar 16, 2014

  • Q: Is this better for a 1-2 yr old rather than an infant? Trying to decide if I can get away with one system instead of 2 (1 for the infant stage and 1 for the toddler stage) or not. Thanks!

  • Yes, this is better for an older child. I would not recommend it for an infant. I went with the Chicco KeyFit when my son was born and switched him to the Britax Marathon when he was about 8 months or so.

  • Agreed. We bought this around our son's 1st birthday and he was in an infant car seat (Graco Snugride) before then. Not ideal if you only want one car seat, but we have been more than happy with it as he grows.

  • Mine is in my ginormous SUV and it's great. My husband has one in his Audi sedan - it fits, and it's okay, but it doesn't leave a ton of room. That said, I LOVE this car seat - it's one of the safest on the market and when it comes to safety products for my kids, function wins every time.

  • I have a VW golf so a compact car & have been VERY happy w/ this - we actually have more space issues w/ our 2nd rear facing car seat (for a baby). It's better if the passenger side front seat is not all the way back to give a little legroom for our toddler but it's fine.

  • We've had ours rear-facing in a Ford Focus for about a year. It works, but agree that the passenger side front seat is pretty far up to accommodate the space. We love the seat, though, as it's very easy to use and travels well.

  • This car seat won't do well in a compact car. I have a Kia Sorento and it takes up 1 1/4 seats. I have 2 for both of my kids and no one can ride with us. However, it's a great/durable seat.

  • Q: How easy is this to travel with? Can you quickly secure this into another car temporarily using the seatbelt instead of the latch system?

  • This is very easy to use, if you're using the latch system or just a seatbelt securing it. My friend has the same exact one and often throws hers in my car when we go on trips, and she quickly just secures it with a seatbelt. It's not light and it's not small, so I wouldn't say it's easy to travel with, but I LOVE it and couldn't be happier with it.
