what parents are saying
I read so many reviews on diaper pails and finally choose this one, so glad I did! Not as expensive as others & I have had zero odor issues! (Jul 25, 2016)
The quintessential diaper pail, the Diaper Genie is tried and true. It has a foot pedal for hands-free diaper disposal and it’s small it doesn’t take up too much space in the nursery. It also keeps in the smell really well--one mom even admitted she accidently left diapers in it for “way too long” and never smelled a thing.
The Catch: It requires specific liner refills, which are costly.

Everyone told me I didn't need a diaper genie but I would beg to differ. This has saved us from having funky rooms/bathrooms. It definitely helps with storing dirty diapers until trash pick up!

Sounds like a great idea but thought it was kind of gross to keep all the diapers in this pale. We ended up choosing to just get 4 gallon trash bags (105 for $5) and tie shut and toss after each dia

While I loved this product and thought it was very useful, I have to say I only used it for about a month until I ran out of bags and it was more convenient to just throw diapers in the trash!

We like this pail, the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because you have to buy the refills, with the Ubi we could use any garbage bags. It works great containing odors which is most important.

Perfect trashcan for nursery! Holds in the smell and is easy to change. Take up minimal room. Is annoying to buy refills but the cost is comparable to trash bags. Make sure to change the carbon filter

Mainly use for just #1 diapers. Have been using a hack where you tuck a regular trash bag into the blue ring for about 2 years and it is so much cheaper. Takes a few tries to get the back down but so

Keeps the smells in while closed but good lord it's horrible when opened to use! buying the refills is costly. I just ended up taking the stinky diapers to the trash can outside Not worth the money

Received this as gift from my baby shower and it was great in the beginning then came the time to buy the refills and it just did not work correctly after the first try. I ended up throwing it away.

I have this version and the "complete." I prefer the complete version. This model is difficult to removed the dirty diapers due to how its opens at a hinge at the middle. Does its job containing smell

Keeps odors in and is easy to dispose of diapers. Had used another brand which required you to push diapers through a tight opening causing poop to ooze out of the diaper. This is so much better!

It does what it is supposed to do and keeps the stink out. Ours ended up duct taped together by the time our first was potty trained because it broke so often. We use the Ubbi Pail now and love it!

Essential for the nursery! Stops odors when kept closed. I am able to remove the bag once a week without odors escaping. Carbon filter changed monthly. Use bleach inside to clean occasionally.

I completely do not understand the hype! It worked for a few months, but it started to reek and we were replacing the bags and filters. We ended up tossing this out and using disposable diaper bags.
