  • My son had just turned 1 when he got this. He was able to engage with it. He clearly will be able to do more as he grows. Pro: comes with trains that have functions. Tracks come apart easily which is both good and bad. Frustrating when child accidentally dislodges them but good when child wants to put tracks together themselves. As trains runs over certain parts of the tracks they make different vocalizations. Train has a trailer that attaches and carries “balls” to be mined. They are vaguely different shapes that ho into the corresponding mountain holes. Would be more useful if the shapes were better defined. He doesn’t get that they are different shapes yet because they are not very distinct. Some configurations of the tracks allow for the train to pull up next to the mountain and the shape to come out onto the trail or when the train presses on a lever. He likes that a lot. There’s a hammer and a track with a level on it where you place the shape on the top them use the hammer to send it through the hole to fall into the trailer to be carried by the motorized train. He loves that. Jun 26, 2018
