This is far-and-away the favorite among weeSpring moms. It's a workhorse: reliable, easy-to-use, and effective. Or as one mom put it, "This is the Volvo station wagon of breast pumps; it may be a bit big and heavy, but it always works when you need it." It comes built into its own bag, with space for all the requisite pump parts and a little cooler to keep milk fresh. Be sure to call your insurance company--it might be free!

The Catch: It is large, which can make commuting and/or traveling with it cumbersome.

  • Q: Is this easy to clean?

    asked by Jonathan S. - Mar 31, 2014

  • Not really--there are a ton of parts. That having been said, that would be the case with any pump you get.

  • Q: Is this pump powerful enough for exclusive pumping?

    asked by Darla B. - Mar 24, 2014

  • I would think so, I found it to do an excellent job while I was away from my 3 mo. old for a week.

    Mariah M. - Mar 24, 2014

  • My son was a preemie and would never latch and I exclusively pumped with this pump for 11 months.

    Mary K. - Mar 24, 2014

  • Yes, I had to pump exclusively for the first 2 months after my son was born because he had nursing issues... this pump is great!

    Cassandra E. - Mar 24, 2014

  • Yes, It is a strong working machine

    Stephanie D. - Mar 24, 2014

  • I pumped for twins for 3 months using this exclusively. It was a dream, and you can do other things while you are pumping too which is amazing. Game changer for me

    Melissa P. - Mar 24, 2014

  • It is but if you're going to be exclusively pumping, I'd look into the smaller one that is more portable. I forget the style but I remembered thinking it might have been nice to not be limited to a wall outlet. Not sure if you compromise power. This one will do the trick though!

    Julie R. - Mar 24, 2014

  • I pump with it 2-3x per day and feel like I get full feeds from it so would be inclined to say yes!

    Margo B. - Mar 24, 2014

  • I had to pump for the first four months (my son was a premie and had to be on a combo of breastmilk and formula until he was 4 months old) and then I pumped at work until he was a year. I used this pump at work but didn't like it nearly as much as the hospital grade one that I rented. It's powerful enough but the hospital grade ones are even stronger. I also had some supply issues though.

    Jennifer S. - Mar 24, 2014

  • Yes, definitely. It is a great pump. Plus it's nice that it comes in a bag that just looks like a tote for when you're transporting it back and forth if you're using it at work or traveling.

    Jessica S. - Mar 24, 2014

  • I would think so- it is pretty powerful. Although I have heard from friends that you may want to look into a hospital grade pump and try that as well.

    Erika T. - Mar 24, 2014

  • I didn't use it to pump exclusively but pumped 4-5x a day when working full time and it definitely held up!
