Fun fact: newborns are nose breathers, so if they're stuffed up, they can't do what they do best... eat and sleep. Named the "adorable" humidifier for a reason, this little guy will help your little guy with his snacking and his snoozing, while staying super quiet.

  • Q: The instructions say you cannot put the humidifier on wood or carpet. What surface area would you suggest putting it on?

  • I put mine on a shelf. My friend had the same one and put hers on a table. We haven't had any problems at all!

  • Funny timing - I used this humidifier for the past several years with my son no problem, sitting on his wood furniture our the wood floor. But tonight, the one I just bought for my daughter was leaking everywhere. I can see why this would be the rule if this generally happens. It soaked the rug it was sitting on and probbaly would have ruined the wood furniture if it was on it.

  • We have ours on a painted wood table and all seems to be well even with one small leak.

  • Ours is on top of a dresser. I do put a mat underneath it because condensation can form around it, but we haven't had a leak in a year+ of having it. The mist does settle on the surface so it can be a bit damp after running it for a while - I wipe down the dresser every morning and we haven't had any issues.

  • I set ours on a wooden chair or stool, but with a towel underneath it.

  • We keep ours on a tiny little Ikea side table so that we can easily move it around the room as needed. We haven't had any leaks, but I'd recommend a surface that's easy to wipe off bc it will drip sometimes when refilling/reassembling

  • Ours is on top of a Billy Bookshelf from IKEA. We haven't had any leaking in 2 1/2 years. We usually have it set about halfway, though when we've had it up to max, I can see how it would damage furniture over time. When we travel with it I put a towel under it to protect my mother's carpet, just in case. ;-)

  • I keep ours on a plastic serving tray so it can be moved from room to room and placed on any surface. I think just as long as you don't have it cranked all the way up (causing excess moisture to land on the surface it's sitting on), it should be fine.

  • We ended up putting ours on top of a cookie sheet on our wood table....
