I thought this was easy enough to use and I loved that I was able to wear my baby sooner (especially helpful with number 2!) but it was way too hot for an august newborn. Feb 19, 2016

Must have for small babies. Great for snuggles while getting stuff done! Feb 01, 2016
Courtenay, Canada
Better than the old style insert but still adds way too much bulk and baby tends to get overheated easily Jan 29, 2016

Plan to use this with our newborn due on Jan 1st Dec 23, 2015

Have the ergoand is the best carrier I've tried. Nov 16, 2015

We got this with our ERGO 360 carrier and found it very useful. It was great for when our daughter was a little infant, but she grew out of it pretty quickly. Jul 17, 2015

This was nice to have when my son was a newborn but was it 100% necessary?... No. I liked it because it kept him snuggled but it was super thick and was really hot. I only used it for maybe a month. Jul 17, 2015

It's a bummer they need it but works well. Dec 13, 2014

The baby gets really got in this, but when the baby is small, this insert is a must. Dec 08, 2014
San Diego, California
I have to use this since baby is too small for use without it. He falls asleep instantly once in this but he overheats in a few minutes! (Even when we were in a super cold building.) Nov 20, 2014

My baby seemed uncomfortable and hot in this. I ended up just using the Baby K'tan when she was really little and she liked it much better. Oct 30, 2014
PITTSBURGH, New York
way to hot for my infant in the summer. had to switch to moby. Oct 28, 2014

Kindof hard to use. I find it easier to just wait an extra week or so and put the newborn in the Ergo with his or her legs tucked in. Ergo advises against this, however. Oct 16, 2014

Great for when they are little. Gave my husband some great kangaroo time with her, and we knew she was safe too. Oct 10, 2014

wish it snapped into the ergo somehow to make it a little easier but i still liked it for the peace of mind that my newborn was safe and cozy in the carrier Sep 30, 2014

This was a first time mom purchase that I now realize I could have skipped. I just rolled up a blanket instead of dealing with the insert, worked like a charm! Sep 30, 2014

I found it hard to use, but it did work for my itty who otherwise was hurting my back in my ring sling for long hours. Sep 29, 2014

I LOVE ergo... and this is what you need for that small baby. Hands-free to get other stuff done, and baby loves to be worn! Sep 27, 2014

This was used once. I took out the pillow in the bottom and used that instead. In the middle of the summer, baby does not need to be wrapped in a papoose inside of my carrier. Aug 25, 2014

This is the only thing my daughter would sleep in for more than 40 minutes from weeks 3-11. Aug 13, 2014

Keeps baby super warm in the Ergo. Good for the cold months, bad for the hot ones. Not so easy to put on unless you watch a video. Jul 30, 2014

My baby preferred other carriers. The infant insert was somehow uncomfortable for him when we tried multiple times. He much preferred the Moby Wrap or Infantino Sash Mei Jul 24, 2014

I love my ergo, but I hated this insert. Baby got way too hot since he was basically rolled up in a futon mattress. I'm sticking to the Moby or something else this time until he is older. Jul 23, 2014

Meh. Didn't use it long - the baby got hot inside it so I would "frog leg" her instead. Jul 19, 2014

Used this when Ben was a newborn - it's a little warm, which wasn't always great in the summer, but fit really well and washed up very easily. May 30, 2014

Good, but not worth the extra $$. My baby outgrew it within a few weeks and always seemed to overheat in it, even on cool days. Mar 22, 2014

It served it's purpose, but baby girl was so hot in there. Mar 02, 2014

This was great for when my little guy was super tiny and I wanted to go hands free with the ergo carrier Feb 20, 2014

Wonderful for newborns in the ergo! Feb 15, 2014

Never felt comfortable with the insert, and it made my son SO sweaty! I'd suggest trying other carriers until they're old enough to sit in the ergo without the insert Feb 03, 2014

It was very helpful in the first 2 mo for our daughter. Oct 09, 2013

maybe it's because my infants were very big, but I hated this insert and could not make it work for us. I'd recommend a wrap for the infant stage, and then an ergo carrier when baby is bigger. Mar 07, 2023
